Monkey Quilt

Well, I have started my next quilt, and it is coming along nicely. I am using the left over pieces from my nephew Kaelen's quilt. As there are not a whole lot of pieces, I am going to put a 3 inch band around it to frame it before the binding goes on. I hope that it turns out like I am picturing. Will put pictures up when it is finished.

Joshua's Quilt

I have been slow in adding pictures and updates to this blog, so I am going to try to do better. Here are pictures of the quilt that I made my nephew Joshua when he was born.

Finished the Farm Quilt

Well, it's been a few months since I had planned on having this quilt done. September was a very busy and tiring month for me so I didn't really get a chance to work on the quilt. Then it was a few weeks before I finally remembered to buy the material for the binding. However, once that was bought it only took a few days to finish the quilt.

Farm Quilt

Okay, so I had planned on getting this quilt done several months back, but then life happened and things got in the way of me doing this quilt. I have 2 small squares left to stitch before I bind the quilt. Now that I am at home, I will have more time to work on this quilt and finish it up. I have many more quilts waiting to be started, and I would like to do 2 more before Christmas. Will show pictures of the farm quilt the end of September when I get it finished.

Mini Purse

I made a mini purse for Scotland so I wouldn't need to carry around a large purse. I love bright, fun prints, as you might have guessed from my camera bag I made. Anyway, thought that I would add this to my blog as well. This is the first time that I have made a purse or camera case, and I think I did a good job.

Camera Bag

Before Matt and I leave for our trip to Scotland, I wanted to make a fun camera bag that was small and light. I've discovered that I can make it about half the size that it currently is. I think this bag would also work well for make-up, personal items, etc.

A Farm Animal Quilt

I'm looking forward to this quilt as I will be doing it by hand! I haven't made one since June when I made one for my nephew Joshua. That quilt will be posted when I find a picture. The thing about hand stitched quilts is that you can take them anywhere to work on and you are not stuck in the house like you are with the block quilts. I'm aiming to have this quilt done by May 5th or sooner. We shall see how busy I am over the next 3 weeks.

Lily's quilt

I made this quilt quite some time ago for my niece Lily, all by myself. It is not the greatest quilt but it was a labour of love. One day I plan on making a better quilt for her.

The newest quilt

My goal for this snow day is to complete a baby quilt. So far I have put it together so I can trim the excess material and batting. Since it is a fairly small baby quilt, I believe that I can have a picture of it up come supper time!
It came to me that every time I work on a quilt, I wish I could stay home and be a quilter for a living. It's not a possibility right now, but I hope that in the near future it can become a reality.

This is the quilt that I made for my nephew Kaelen. Doesn't it look comfy?

This is the very first quilt that I made. I traced every single bear on a quilt using a stencil, and then I hand stitched every bear. It took quite some time as each bear is 4 inch by 3 inch and there is about 60 of them on the quilt!

This is a pillow I made for my best friend Kristy. This was my first attempt at making a pillow.

Sharing a pass time

Hey everyone,

I thought that I would create a blog to show people the quilts that I have currently made, as I quite enjoy quilting, and wanted to share this pass time. New pictures will be added as I get a chance to make a quilt. I have two in the works and they should be completed by March.
