Quilt
Alright, so I have been a bit behind with quilting as we have our house on the market. That means for the last couple of months, we have been getting rid of stuff and reorganizing the house. Lots of fun with a toddler :) So the animal panel quilt has been put on hold. I actually didn't like the colour of the backing for the quilt, so I am looking for a different material for the back. Instead, I am making a clifford the big red dog quilt for my son's bed. It is going to be hand quilted :) This quilt will take some time as it is fairly large, BUT I do have it started so I will actually be posting some pictures soon. I PROMISE :) I miss quilting and posting my pictures.

Animal Panel Quilt
The next quilt that I will be starting is an animal panel. I will be hand stitching the main part of the quilt. Once the quilt is done, I will be giving it to my nephew who just turned a year old. It is quite large, so he will be able to use it for quite a few years :) Pictures will be posted once I get the backing material and sandwich the pieces together.

Noah's Ark
Alright Everyone! I finally have pictures of the quilt. There was definitely a learning curve with this quilt. I didn't use a pattern as I thought that what I wanted to do for the front and back was straightforward, it wasn't. So After piecing the front and back and starting to sew it together, I needed to take it apart because it wasn't matching up. I also had to redo the strips on the front. I think it turned out well but definitely need to practice a quilt like this again to feel more confident. I love this panel and the way the hand stitching turned out. I hope this quilt is enjoyed for many years by my friend's little boy.

Finished Quilt!
Hello Everyone!
I am terrible at posting pictures apparently. I have pictures of the quilt that I have finished but they are not on this computer, so I will have to post them tomorrow. The quilt was very much a learning quilt, not what I wanted when it was for a friend. I am glad that I persevered through it but will not do that quilt for someone until I practice it again.

Tried a business
Well, instead of making quilts and posting them here for everyone to see, I ventured into trying a business on facebook. Lots of comments on how wonderful my items are but not very many sales or input into the fabric I should buy, or different items that I should make. I am glad that I tried this because it allowed me to try making new things (bibs, ribbon blankets, dinosaurs, pillows, etc). However, I have since realized that I much prefer quilting, even if it takes me much longer to complete one! So, I will be updating this blog much more often as I am currently trying to finish a quilt, and I have one more that I am starting in just a couple of weeks :)

Posting new pictures tonight
I am going to post a few pictures of the items that I have made in the past couple of months. I hope that you enjoy the pictures. They will include reusable baby wipes, a turtle, and an elephant :)

Quite the Hiatus
Well, I see it has been quite awhile since I last posted any new items. I have been busy with an active baby, (who recently turned 1). I am working on blocks, taggies, and I am going to try a couple of bibs. Will upload photos as I complete an item. Looking forward to getting back into quilting :)

Baby Blocks
I have made a few blocks for Kaelen and my baby to play with. I am also making some blocks with ribbon on them. As they are made, I will add them to the blog. Here are two that are done. two more will be loaded later today when the battery for the camera is charged.

Monkey Quilt
Well, I have started my next quilt, and it is coming along nicely. I am using the left over pieces from my nephew Kaelen's quilt. As there are not a whole lot of pieces, I am going to put a 3 inch band around it to frame it before the binding goes on. I hope that it turns out like I am picturing. Will put pictures up when it is finished.

Joshua's Quilt
I have been slow in adding pictures and updates to this blog, so I am going to try to do better. Here are pictures of the quilt that I made my nephew Joshua when he was born.
Finished the Farm Quilt
Well, it's been a few months since I had planned on having this quilt done. September was a very busy and tiring month for me so I didn't really get a chance to work on the quilt. Then it was a few weeks before I finally remembered to buy the material for the binding. However, once that was bought it only took a few days to finish the quilt.

Farm Quilt
Okay, so I had planned on getting this quilt done several months back, but then life happened and things got in the way of me doing this quilt. I have 2 small squares left to stitch before I bind the quilt. Now that I am at home, I will have more time to work on this quilt and finish it up. I have many more quilts waiting to be started, and I would like to do 2 more before Christmas. Will show pictures of the farm quilt the end of September when I get it finished.

Mini Purse
I made a mini purse for Scotland so I wouldn't need to carry around a large purse. I love bright, fun prints, as you might have guessed from my camera bag I made. Anyway, thought that I would add this to my blog as well. This is the first time that I have made a purse or camera case, and I think I did a good job.
Camera Bag
Before Matt and I leave for our trip to Scotland, I wanted to make a fun camera bag that was small and light. I've discovered that I can make it about half the size that it currently is. I think this bag would also work well for make-up, personal items, etc.

A Farm Animal Quilt
I'm looking forward to this quilt as I will be doing it by hand! I haven't made one since June when I made one for my nephew Joshua. That quilt will be posted when I find a picture. The thing about hand stitched quilts is that you can take them anywhere to work on and you are not stuck in the house like you are with the block quilts. I'm aiming to have this quilt done by May 5th or sooner. We shall see how busy I am over the next 3 weeks.

Lily's quilt
I made this quilt quite some time ago for my niece Lily, all by myself. It is not the greatest quilt but it was a labour of love. One day I plan on making a better quilt for her.

The newest quilt
My goal for this snow day is to complete a baby quilt. So far I have put it together so I can trim the excess material and batting. Since it is a fairly small baby quilt, I believe that I can have a picture of it up come supper time!
It came to me that every time I work on a quilt, I wish I could stay home and be a quilter for a living. It's not a possibility right now, but I hope that in the near future it can become a reality.
